We obviously do not condone hitting women however this video that has recently gone viral showing a 25 yr old girl abusing a bus driver who responds with a uppercut straight out of Mortal Kombat has to be seen.
This uppercut is actually not the most shocking thing on this clip. Please read the terrible auto-subtitles at the bottom of the video where they replace sentences such as “it seems so trashy” with “sizzled trashy at the seems on”…. And we all thought we had problems with apple predictive text.
This week we came across one of the most mesmerising, astonishing and truly confusing of this years releases. The album was released by reality TV star Farrah Abraham as a soundtrack to her autobiographical book ‘My Teenage Dream Ended’
As producers and music enthusiasts there are certain musical rules that you can’t help adhere to, breaking away from these rules is extremely difficult and we normally find ourselves in aw of those of the avant guard who are able and brave enough to do this. MTV’s Teen Mom star brat Farrah Abraham has gone and done just this, although it seems without meaning to. Her brute naivety has allowed her to create pieces of music that defy musical logic, stripped of technique and style, Abraham has created a sound world that is scarily reflective of the media addicted generation she represents. Although the pallet of sounds is nothing unusual the strange sometimes out of time arrangement coupled with bizarre auto tuned vocals running throughout the soundtrack give this release it’s individual characteristics.
My Teenage Dream Ended challenges your ideas of musical taste. The releases is scattered with contradictions managing to be badly written, kitch, and unskillfully crafted while also being expressive, pure and truly compelling.
Sounding more in touch with the electronic underground than the pop world this is the album Grimes and Laurel Halo have been trying to make. This will not be the ‘coolest’ release but we can assure you the strangest listening experience you will have all year.
